Falmouth is known for its beautiful Vineyard Sound beaches, the ferry to Martha's Vineyard, and the famous Falmouth Road Race, one of America's premier road races held every August. The town has a vibrant downtown, thriving arts scene, and Woods Hole, home to a world-class oceanographic institution.

Explore the Shining Sea Bikeway along the coast, catch the ferry to Martha's Vineyard from Woods Hole, and swim at Surf Drive or Old Silver Beach. The Woods Hole Science Aquarium is free and great for all ages. Falmouth's village green and Main Street have excellent dining and independent shops.
